Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 16, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies EshopAuditor uses, why we use them, and how you can manage them. For broader information about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — for example, keeping you logged in, or remembering your language preference.
EshopAuditor uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertisers.
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary and Preference Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function (or in the case of locale, to remember your preference). No consent is required under the ePrivacy Directive for strictly necessary cookies.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Lifetime | HttpOnly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| auth_token | Essential | Authenticates your session — required to access your account. | 1 hour | Yes |
| refresh_token | Essential | Used to renew your session automatically without requiring you to log in again. | 60 days | Yes |
| auth_present | Essential | A client-readable flag that tells the UI whether a session exists (does not contain credentials). | 60 days | No |
| cookie_consent | Essential | Records your cookie consent choice so we do not show the consent banner repeatedly. | 1 year | No |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Preference | Stores your chosen display language so it persists across visits. | 1 year | No |
HttpOnly: Yes means the cookie is inaccessible to JavaScript running in the browser, which protects it from cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
2.2 Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics for aggregated, privacy-friendly visitor statistics. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. See Vercel's privacy documentation for details.
2.3 Advertising and Marketing Cookies
We do not use any advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies. We will notify you if this changes and ask for your consent before setting any such cookies.
3. Managing Cookies
Browser settings
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings menu. Common paths:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
You can also browse in "private" or "incognito" mode, which does not save cookies after the session ends.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the Service
The auth_token, refresh_token, auth_present, and cookie_consent cookies are required for EshopAuditor to function. If you block or delete them, you will not be able to log in or maintain a session. We do not offer a way to use the authenticated features of the Service without these cookies.
The NEXT_LOCALE preference cookie can be deleted without affecting core functionality — you would simply need to re-select your language on each visit.
4. Third-Party Cookies
EshopAuditor does not currently use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Our sub-processors (such as Paddle for payments and Vercel for hosting) may set their own cookies as part of their services; these are governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new cookies or change how existing ones work. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated via our Privacy Policy notice process.
